Property Description:
Behind this 19th century London facade is an up to date hotel with every
modern facility in its 30 large bedrooms. It's close to one of the
oldest parts of London, the "Borough", well known to both Shakespeare &
Dickens.
The Mad hatter Hotel is perfectly placed if you have business in the
City of London, a half mile taxi ride takes you straight there.
For the leisure traveller there's a lot more to see and do much closer
to hand. Tate Modern, London's new world class museum of modern art is a
few minutes away. Beyond it is Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, The National
Theatre, The Royal Festival Hall, The Saatchi Gallery and The Haywood
Gallery.
The Millennium Bridge, The London Eye, St. Paul's, The Tower of London
and The Mermaid Theatre are very close by too, and Covent Garden and the
Strand are only about a mile away with Oxford Street, Westminster,
Regent Street and Soho half a mile or so further on.
Transport around London is very easy from the hotel. Buses, trains, The
London Underground and Waterloo International for The Eurostar are very
close by.
The ground floor is taken up with a traditional and welcoming London pub
which is an ideal place to meet and greet friends or colleagues for
lunch, an informal evening meal or just a drink. The food's home cooked,
the drinks are Fuller's what more could you ask for?
The Mad Hatter really is an excellent London base and at its reasonable
prices and friendly atmosphere you will find yourself returning again
and again.
